Could be some snow via the lake between Mon night and Thurs. Keep a eye on the weather and keep a backup plan such as Firekeepers casino. Many, many thanks in advance for any advice!ġ. Any suggestions for places to eat, take a walk, shop, etc. He's Saudi and had a few years in America as a kid, but he just got into the country again this fall. I welcome any suggestions for things that aren't far from Joe Louis Arena- cheap places for food, free/inexpensive museums, anything to see or do, including a Catholic church for mass.įinally, I may see a former student in Ypsilanti at some point this week. Sadly, I doubt I will get to visit museums/places that have limited opening hours, but I might be able to catch a cultural event if there's anything taking place.Īlso: I will be busy from Thursday-Sunday in Detroit, but I may have some time to slip away from Skate America to do other things.
The time in that area isn't much, I know, but what do you suggest for a first-time visitor? Although the weather is one factor I cannot control, I would much rather walk around and interact with locals than spend money in a restaurant or bar. I would love to take advantage of my stop there, as I've read that Marshall is pretty and historic. At the corner of Adams and Woodward in downtown Detroit at Grand Circus Park, next to Brass Rail Pizza Bar.We are open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 6pm to 11pm.
I will be in Battle Creek/Marshall on Wednesday around 6 PM until the next morning around 8 AM.
